French sports broadcaster BeIn Sport has acquired all rights to the NBA, covering plays-offs and the All Star Games, for a period of four years. The rights were previously held by Canal+. The channel paid reportedly EUR5 million for the deal.
Vision247 has launched GOD TV on its UK connected FreeviewHD package of channels. The French NRJ Group is renaming its new HD channel, Cherie HD, into Cherie 25. The channel is due to come on the air a part of the six new terrestrial HD channels in the country. The new name reflects the channel position on the DTT EPG. The NRJ Group now owns the Chérie 25, NRJ Hits, NRJ Paris and NRJ 12 TV channels as well as numerous radio stations.
