Discovery CEEMEA has signed an agreement to broadcast five of its SD channels on TTNet Tivibu, the ISP subsidiary with the Turk Telekom group.
Three of the channels in question – Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and Discovery Science – are already available on Dsmart, Digiturk and Teledunya, with Dsmart being a long-standing partner that also carries four other channels from the Discovery portfolio.
The two other channels to be carried on v are ID: Investigation Discovery and Discovery World.
Commenting on the agreement, Dilek Doyran, distribution director, emerging business, Discovery Networks CEEMEA, said: “We are delighted with the agreement to broadcast five channels with TTnet Tivibu.
This combined with our partnership with all leading operators in the region is the latest move in our on-going commitment to work with partners in Turkey to make our award-winning programmes available to as many viewers as possible through traditional and new platforms.”
He added: “We have a great line up of shows for the rest of the year and we are sure that DSmart, Digiturk, Teledunya and now TTNet subscribers are going to be enthralled with channels that they love to watch”.
