Russia’s Vimpelcom was boosted in the second quarter by both revenue and subscriber growth in its FTTB and IPTV businesses.
Its fixed broadband revenues in the quarter amounted to R2.9 billion (€71.27 million), or 3.2% more than in Q1 this year.
IPTV revenues in Q2 were meanwhile 14.2% higher than in the previous quarter.
At the same time, its fixed broadband and IPTV subscriber totals were 2.25 million and 750,000, 1.4% and 14.7% higher than three months earlier.
Vimpelcom puts these improvements down to a strategic project named Operational Efficiency that it introduced in February.
Its plans for later this year and into 2013 include the launch of OTT services.
