The Dutch competition authority NMa has given the green light to incumbent KPN to take over four fibre providers from Reggeborgh.
KPN can now integrate service provider XMS, Edutel, KickXL and Concepts ICT into its own fibre operations, making it the de facto largest FTTH operator in the country.
Earlier, the NMa already gave consent to KPN to take over the radio and TV service provider Glashart Media from Reggeborgh.
The approval sees KPN increase its share of the broadband market from 39% to almost 41%.
Earlier, KPN decided to drop its bid for cable operator CAIW.
