Former Kit digital executive Fearghal Kelly has been appointed CEO of Digisoft.tv with immediate effect.
Digisoft.tv is an Irish based provider of set-top box middleware for the cable, satellite, terrestrial and telecommunications industry, including its hybrid set-top box middleware, Iris.
Speaking on behalf of the board, chairman Pat McDonagh said in a statement, “We believe that Fearghal is the right person for this next phase of Digisoft’s evolution. By combining our Iris STB product with Fearghal’s vast industry experience, we believe that this combination will propel Digisoft.tv to become the market leader in the IPTV, hybrid, media and entertainment markets.”
“The Digisoft team has worked hard to produce the most innovative set top box software” said Kelly. “Using open standards, Iris will enable operators to move straight to hybrid delivery at a price point that is a fraction of current implementations.”
Fearghal joins Digisoft.tv after six years with leading systems integration firm ioko and Kit Digital.
