Luxembourg-based faciluties company BCE has launched Kombat Sport, the first French language channel dedicated to fighting sports.
The new channel focuses on various fighting disciplines including Muay Thai, boxing, martial arts, sumo and capoeira, judo, karate, kick-boxing, English boxing and more, with live events, magazines and documentaries. The channel will broadcast 24/7 and is part of the CanalSat bouquet, as well as part of the Numéricable offer in France.
Broadcast from BCE’s multiplayout infrastructure in Luxembourg, the new channel from SportTV is available in HD. In a statement the company said “The launch of Kombat Sport was a real challenge for BCE. The service provided did not just included the set-up of the play out of an additional HD channel in less than six weeks, but also the installation of a sound studio which handles the voice over during live events.“
Kombat Sport is owned by SporTV, a Luxemburgish company. The channel is available in French and will also be available in English from 2013 for international distribution on cable, satellite and IPTV.
