WATCH VIDEO. MIPCOM 2012 – Cannes. The brand new Salto terrestrial re-start service from TDF and France Television won the prize for best Innovation and Technology at the AFDESI International ITV Awards 2012.
The service is available on terrestrial television using the HbbTV standard. It allows viewers to go back to the beginning of a programme they just joined. The service is live in France since July on the public channels from France Television.
Running between 20.00 and midnight, viewers joining a programme late can choose to view the show from the beginning by pressing the Blue button. The HbbTV system of course requires the viewer to connect their TV to the Internet.
