Digital Broadcasting, which includes the Czech Republic’s fourth DTT multiplex among its interests, has undergone an important change in ownership.
According to Digizone, Vladimir Zelezny is no longer a shareholder, with Radim Parizek, who previously held a 75% stake in the company, now the sole owner.
Zelezny was a co-founder and at one time head of TV Nova, the country’s leading broadcaster.
He had been involved in Digital Broadcasting for only four months and is in addition understood to have sold his shares in TV Pohoda, a new digital channel also backed by Parizek.
TV Pohoda made its debut on the fourth multiplex in June and will be fully operational by the end of the year.
Digital Broadcasting acquired the fourth DTT multiplex from Telefónica O2 in January this year.
