The leading Ukrainian cable operator Volia has been granted permission by the county’s Antimonopoly Committee to acquire Odek, a company that provides pay-TV services in several cities.
In a statement, Volia says that the final negotiations for the acquisition are expected to be completed by the middle of this month.
It also says “the final terms of the transaction any financial information is strictly confidential and shall not be disclosed by either party.”
Following the acquisition, Volia will have a presence in 29 Ukrainian cities, including 22 with a population of over 100,000, and reach around 3.5 million households.
