Netgem has appointed Romain Waller to head its newly created Connected Home product division. He will report to Christophe Aulnette, Netgem’s chief executive officer.
Waller was most recently with the Technicolor group, but has also worked for fellow French set-top developer Sagem in a career running for 14 years.
“For the past three years Netgem has been very focused on international expansion and has diversified its customer-base,” said Christophe Aulnette, CEO of Netgem. “While keeping on driving this international plan, we will expand our product portfolio to provide more solutions to our operators’ customers in this highly competitive environment. I’m delighted to count on Romain’s leadership and product expertise in this new development phase.”
In recent months Netgem has expanded its customer base to include Viaplay in Sweden, YouSee in Denmark, Netia in Poland, Globecast in the United States (a subsidiary of France Télécom Orange) and TotalPlay in Mexico. The Group is also introducing a new product range with the launch of a new compact platform, its mainstream N7700 Netbox, and of a mobile connectivity device, Wobe.
