Dutch cable operator Ziggo has launched streaming live TV for Android tablets and smartphones initially offering 14 channels.
The service is available to all Ziggo customers, who need to register their device. Live streaming is available in the customer’s home over Ziggo broadband. The app itself and use is free of charge.
The following channels are available: Nederland 1, Nederland 2, Nederland 3, RTL4, RTL5, SBS6, RTL7, Veronica, Net5, RTL8, National Geographic Channel, Eurosport, music channel Ziggo Xite and info channel Ziggo TV.
The streaming live TV app also offers Twitter and Facebook integration and an EPG with programme details of over 160 channels. Also available are TV tips, TV news and access to the On Demand library of the cabler.
