TIHANY -2012. Horizon is likely to prove a good customer retention tool for UPC Hungary, according to László Szücs, the company’s press officer.
However, there is a general problem in the country with VOD services, with demand lower than expected.
Furthermore, while some 50% of UPC Hungary’s customers now receive digital TV, the figure for the cable industry as a whole is much lower.
Although there is at present no timetable for the launch of Horizon in Hungary, Broadband TV News believes it will be later than in Poland, where it should make its debut sometime next year.
