German cable association ANGA has elected Thomas Braun as its president for a further two years.
The association’s members, meeting in Wiesbaden, also named Adrian von Hammerstein (Kabel Deutschland) and Jens-Uwe Rehnig (Rehnig BAK Kabel-fernsehen für Deustschland) as vice-presidents.
Bernd Thielk (Willy.tel) was appointed vice president of the association.
The board members are Andreas Coupette (MMKS), Dietmar Schickel (Tele Columbus), Lutz Schüler (Unitymedia KabelBW), Jürgen Sommer (ANTEC) and Herbert Strobel (ASTRO Strobel Kommunikationssysteme). A new member to the board is Theo Weirich (Wilhelm.tel).
In a statement, Braun, said: “The ANGA board is pleased with the recognition and acknowledgment of their work. We thank all member companies for their trust and support. The success of the German cable industry is reflected in the development of the Association – membership growth has continued.
“Especially in city nets and fibre network operators who want to offer television and radio recognise the benefits of ANGA membership. At the same time, the traditional cable operators are developing their networks adding fibre: cable and fibre optic technology continues to grow in together. “
