Linnander-Manfred to head MTG Studios sales

September 24, 2012 11.23 Europe/London By Robert Briel

MTG Studios has announced the appointment of Jonas Linnander-Manfred as managing director of international sales. He will take up the role from October 15.

Linnander-Manfred’s most recent position was as director of international sales and business affairs at ITV Studios Nordic. He has also held management positions in international sales with Silverback, Talpa Scandinavia and Strix, where the international department once again fell under his responsibility.

MTG recently announced its ambitions to develop MTG Studios (formerly known as Modern Studios) into one of the leading content providers in the industry. The recruitment of Linnander-Manfred is a further step in line with this strategy.

“Jonas’ experience from his leading positions within international sales in the television industry, most recently at ITV Studios, makes him the ideal candidate to contribute to MTG Studios’ further expansion. His extensive contact list and strong reputation within the industry will be invaluable as he develops the international sales side of the business at this exciting time for MTG Studios,” said Patrick Svensk, CEO and chairman of MTG Studios.

”I’m extremely excited to take up this challenge and be a part of the expansion of MTG Studios. The company has a unique history in the development and sale of television formats to the international market. With a footprint of 12 countries today, I look forward to making MTG Studios one of the best distributors in the market,” added Linnander-Manfred.
