Spain ended the second quarter with a total of 4,260,062 pay-TV subscribers, or 100,520 less than a year earlier, according to data produced by the regulator CMT.
Sogecable, the market leader, claimed 1,731,140 and was followed by Ono (906,475) and Telefónica (789,009), with GoTV (333.246) in fourth place.
Pay-TV revenues in the quarter amounted to €419.53 million, with Canal+ (58.6%), Telefónica (14.3%) and Ono (11.7%) claiming the lion’s share of the total.
Revenues in Q2 were little changed on the same period in 2011, when they amounted to €420.43 million.
