CTAM EuroSummit 12 – VIENNA. CTAM Europe is to launch its own educational program based on the CTAM University run by its sister organisation with Harvard University.
“It’s not a trivial exercise, it’s very challenging, but it will help us become more relevant to the industry we work for,” said CTAM Europe’s incoming chairman Eric Tveter.
The educational program was discussed at a board meeting in Vienna on Wednesday, ahead of the cable marketing association’s annual conference.
Tveter said he intended to use his term as chairman to make CTAM Europe more relevant.
Looking at the cable sector as a whole Tveter, who is also CEO of UPC Cablecom in Switzerland said there was currently a relentless pace of change. “We are also facing an increasing level of competition from IPTV, Swisscom is one of the best telcos in the world and we are facing fierce completion from them.”
Tveter said the time to market for new products and services was key as the industry faced up to new products and services such as IPTV and OTT.
