There is growing demand for DTT reception equipment in Lithuania as the country gears up for analogue switch off, due to take place on October 29.
According to VZ, there are still some 600,000 households receiving analogue signals and they have the option of either buying a new set-top box/TV to watch 14 FTA channels or subscribing to a pay-TV service offering between 20-60 channels.
Meanwhile in Hungary, Annamária Szalia, the president of NMHH, has restated the State’s commitment, working through the regulator, to help the needier sections of the population in the digitisation process.
However, she added that 83% of Hungarian households are not directly affected by the transition to digital terrestrial broadcasting.
