The Croatian regulator HAKOM has issued a public call for the allocation of the country’s digital dividend.
Croatia completed the transition to digital broadcasting in a record time of 10 months in October 2010, freeing up frequencies in the 790-862 MHz band that will now be used for mobile broadband services, most probably using LTE technology.
Auctioning the dividend is expected to increase the Croatian state’s revenues by several hundred million kunas (HRK1 = €0.14) this year.
