Croatia is likely to see a pay-DTT service up and running by the end of November.
According to Telecompaper, it will be operated as a joint venture between Croatian Post (Hrvatska Posta) and the transmission company OiV and employ two DVB-T2 multiplexes.
Although the transition to digital broadcasting is gathering momentum across CEE, with some countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Estonia and Latvia, having already completed the process, pay-DTT services are still relatively thin on the ground.
Two of the most successful to date are operated by Antenna Hungária in Hungary and Lattelecom in Latvia.
