The Latvian cable operator Izzi has announced the completion of a head end in the capital, Riga, at a cost of over €2 million.
According to Izzi, it was this year’s major construction project for the company and has already seen over 3,000 of its customers switch from analogue to digital TV services with no change in their subscription fees.
Izzi, which is backed by the Luxembourg-based company Contaq Latvia Cable, has now also completed 90% of a fibre-optic network that is already providing triple-play services to 170,000 households.
