Telenet is adding a slate of new channels, including the first 3D channel, High 3D TV, and the short movies channel Shorts TV HD. Also new to the operator are The Israëli Network (SD), HD versions of the SBS Belgium channels Vier and Vijf, Baby TV, Trace Sports HD and a SD version of TNT. Telenet is dropping Trace Tropical and replacing Adult Channel with Blue Hustler.
Outdoor Channel and Chello Zone have announced the launch of Outdoor Channel on Com Hem, its second platform in Sweden. The debut of Outdoor Channel in Sweden was on the IPTV platform TeliaSonera in 2011. The channel is available fully subtitled in Swedish and Finnish.
Al Jazeera English is to begin broadcasting 24-hours daily on Freeview from September 19, significantly increasing the channel’s current reach and potential viewership on the platform from just five hours per evening.
