IBC 2012 – AMSTERDAM. Technicolor has announced that it has now reached the milestone of 150 million set-top boxes since it shipped its first one in 1994.
In the last 10 years alone, the company has managed to ship more than 10 million boxes a year, with significant increases to such markets as Latin America, India and Southern Asia, especially in recent quarters.
The 150 millionth box was supplied in India’s Tata Sky, which has been a customer of Technicolor since 2006.
