IBC 2012 – AMSTERDAM. Stand 14.552. Hilversum=based software and app developer has launched iFanzy, the first TV guide for the second screen on the iPad.
The electronic programme guide lists dozens of channels and supplies information on ‘official second screen’ apps from broadcasters, as well as any available Facebook page, the Twitter hashtag, Wikipedia, IMDB, related YouTube videos or other contextual information.
“iFanzy is a natural extension of the main screen, in a fast, simple and stylish TV guide, people can play along with game shows, read more information, join the conversation on Twtter, watch live statistics or additional videos with live sports programming,” said Annelies Kaptein, CEO Stoneroos, :And a unique feature is that all information opens with a single click within the guide itself.”
The guide also offers personalisation of the dashboard, a search function, an alert service fpr programme the viewers doesn’t want to miss.
“Users can immediately find all active second screen apps, and all additional information can also be accessed directly from the guide, so no more searching for the right hashtag or app,” added Kaptein.
Stoneroos has developed a number of products for Dutch platforms including Tele 2 and Glashart Media. The company developed the most advanced guide for Glashart, which includes live streaming video and direct control of the operator’s set-top box from iPad and Android devices.
