IBC 2012 – AMSTERDAM.Cubiware has signed a middleware licensing agreement covering Albania and Kosovo with Albania’s DigitAlb.
DigitAlb is the leading provider of digital satellite and terrestrial TV in Albania, with 300,000 and 100,000 subscribers respectively.
It also has additional subscribers via the cablecos IPKO in Kosovo and ABCom in Albania.
Under the terms of the agreement, DigitAlb will license CubiTV, a hybrid DVB/IP middleware solution for cable, satellite, and terrestrial TV operators, as well as CubiSDK, a software development kit that facilitates the building of customized firmware for video-enabled devices including set-top boxes and digital video recorders (DVRs).
