HD services are now watched by a third of households in the Czech Republic.
According to a study undertaken by STEM/MARK and published by Parabola, they are most popular among men, younger viewers and in higher income homes.
Significantly, the study found that while there is strong interest in HD, it falls off to less than a quarter of viewers in the case of 3D.
Hybrid TV is even less popular, with only 14% of viewers expressing any interest in services.
When asked what type of set they might buy within the next 1-2 years, 27% specified one capable of receiving HD, 18% 3D and 16% HbbTV services.
