Eutelsat visAvision has promoted Matthias Schwankl to director of interactive TV & innovation.
Schwankl joined the company as a senior manager in August 2008. He led the development and launch of new services and products related to hybrid TV, including the HbbTV service.
“With the appointment of Matthias Schwankl to director of interactive TV and innovation we should pave the way for the further dynamic development of hybrid and interactive services which, alongside HDTV, are the major digital growth drivers of our platform and the network economy as a whole,” said Martina Rutenbeck, managing director of Eutelsat visAvision GmbH.
Eutelsat KabelKiosk is a headend-in-the-sky delivering digital cable and IP networks with interactive services, as well as free and pay-TV channels in SD and HD quality.
