Russia’s Rostelecom ended the second quarter with 6.2 million pay-TV subscribers, or 10% more than a year earlier.
Of these, one million opted for interactive services.
Its broadband subscriber base meanwhile grew by 13% year-on-year to 8.6 million and homes passed total to 33.1 million.
Of the latter, 14.8 million were passed using the company’s FTTx technology.
Rostelecom’s consolidated revenues rose by 6% year-on-year to R75.5 billion (€1.85 billion) in the second quarter and OIBDA by 3% year-on-year to R29.9 billion.
Net income was also up by 3%, to R8.8 billion.
Rostelecom’s performance in both the second quarter and first half was in line with the company’s five-year strategy.
