Russia’s MTS ended the second quarter with 2,937,000 pay-TV subscribers, or 1.1% fewer than three months earlier.
However, its broadband internet subscriber total grew by 2.1% over the same period to 2,285,000.
The company’s fixed line operations in Russia had revenues of R30.4 billion (€762.3 million), or 2% more than three months earlier.
Residential ARPU in Q2 stood at R285, down from R295 in the corresponding period in 2011 due to overall price reductions in both the internet and pay-TV markets.
