Dutch FTTH provider Glashart Media has launched the three Dutch SBS channels (SBS6, Net 5 and Veronica) and Disney XD, as live streams on iPads and Android tablet, bringing the total to 13 channels. The app was developed by Stoneroos of Hilversum.
German music channel iM1 is working together with MySpace. Members can watch the iM1 live stream on the MySpace website. The two plan to jointly sell advertising space.
Sky Deutschland has secured film rights of Tele München Gruppe (TMG). The new agreement provides Sky with the exclusive Pay-TV rights for current film blockbusters as well as catalogue titles. These include Steve Soderbergh’s Magic Mike, The Twilight Saga – Breaking Dawn – Part 2, Asterix & Obelix – On Her Majesty’s Service, On the Road and The Company You Keep.
HD versions of Discovery Channel and Discovery Channel Max are to be added to the line-up of Spanish cablenet Ono. Discovery HD will be exclusive to holders of the Tivo box, while Max will be available to all comer
ESPN America has been added to the sports pack of Orange TV.
