The Russian cable operator ER Telecom has extended its Dom.ru TV ‘Home Entertainment Centre’ service to five more cities.
The service, which has a number of interactive features and has just increased the number of HD channels it offers to 23, is now available in Lipetsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Niznekamsk, Orenburg and Ufa, as well as in 12 other cities.
ER Telecom ended the second quarter with 4.5 million subscribers, or 600,000 more than at the start of the year.
Its subscriber base grew by 44%, equivalent to more than 1.2 million customers, in 2011.
