Agama launches Microsoft Mediaroom monitoring

August 21, 2012 11.16 Europe/London By Julian Clover

IBC 2012 PREVIEW – AMSTERDAM: Stand No. 4.A55. Agama Technologies has announced it is to become an official Microsoft Mediaroom ecosystem partner. Linköping-based Agama says it will launch a Mediaroom edition of its DTV Monitoring Solution at IBC 2012.

The Agama DTV Monitoring Solution is a full-coverage product suite for continuous and real-time monitoring and quality assurance of all forms of video delivery, from service creation to consumption.

“Parts of our solution have already been deployed for a few years in Mediaroom environments with several operators, primarily to monitor in head-ends and post A-server network locations, but now we take the next step and enable these operators to benefit from our full end-to-end solution,” says Mikael Dahlgren, CEO, Agama Technologies. “Microsoft Mediaroom is the most widely deployed IPTV platform in the world, and we are excited to be able to share our experience and proven product line for video service monitoring and quality assurance with all their operator customers worldwide.”

Integrating with the Mediaroom platform, the Agama solution provides such operators with end-to-end visibility from the headend to the home, making it possible to get a detailed understanding of the service quality across the delivery network.
