The Lithuanian incumbent telco TEO LT has entered into an agreement with Samsung Electronics Baltics ahead of the country’s analogue switch off, which is due to take place at the end of October.
VZ reports that as a result TEO customers will be able to rent three different models of Samsung TVs, after signing a 36-month contract, for LTL29.90 (€8.70) a month.
At present, an estimated one fifth of homes in Lithuania are still receiving analogue TV services.
TEO LT operates DTT and IPTV services under the Gala brand name.
