BSkyB’s entry level movies service Now TV has become the first third party service to join YouView.
The two services were launched within a few days of each other last month, but until now YouView has only included catch-up TV from its four PSB partners.
YouView homes will see the Now TV app appear on the home page and need only register with the service to claim a 30-day free trial.
Now TV is already available on the PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad and selected Android smartphones.
“We know there’s growing demand from UK consumers to access high-quality pay TV and internet-connected devices provide an innovative new way to help satisfy that demand,” said Simon Creasey, director, Now TV.
In addition to Sky Movies Sky Sports will be added later in the year, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, England Test Cricket, Heineken Cup Rugby and ATP Tennis.
