CETel Group (Central European Telecom Services) has acquired Teleport Kabel Deutschland Holding.
The antennas of up to 9.4m diameter and the related RF infrastructure have been migrated to CETel Group’s Teleport near Cologne. They will be used for C- and Ku-band services including the Eutelsat satellites at 10 degrees East and 16 degrees East.
“CETel Group has grown tremendously in the past few years and continues the company’s strategy to provide tailored solutions for every kind of satellite based communication requests”, explains Martin Terlunen, the Group’s managing director. “The acquisition of Geolink Satellite Services last year complemented the services portfolio for both companies and the recent acquisition of the Kabel Deutschland Holding teleport will feed the increased demand for new satellite services.”
In addition to traditional data communication services the group offers VSAT networks, bandwidth on demand, maritime services, the full range of mobile satellite solutions and combined terrestrial and satellite-based networks.
