The man responsible for masterminding the BBC’s coverage of London 2012 is to become the acting director of BBC Vision.
Roger Mosey will take up the role at the end of August when George Entwistle begins his preparation to take the post of director-general.
The role of director of BBC Vision is effectively head of television. The Vision division is responsible for commissioning, producing, scheduling and broadcasting the content of all of the BBC’s television channels.
Mosey is a former head of BBC Sport, controller of Radio 5 Live and editor of Today.
