Nearly one in four cable broadband subscriptions in Hungary are now via DOCSIS 3.0, according to the regulator NMHH.
Data for the month of June shows that there were a total of 848,708 broadband cable subscriptions, of which 198,216 where the terminal equipment had been replaced.
This compared to 784,159 xDSL subscriptions, while the total number of FTTX subscriptions was 290,087 and fixed broadband subscriptions an estimated 2,118,000.
T-Home was the leading provider of fixed broadband internet subscriptions in June with a market share of 34.8%, followed by UPC (21.7%), Digi (13.2%) and Invitel (9.8%).
