The Zurich-based VOD service Viewster has entered a two-part blockbuster distribution deal with Warner Bros.
Under it, some of the Studio’s most popular content will be made available to Viewster users in German-speaking territories, starting with Germany and followed by Austria and Switzerland, along with 11 fast-developing VOD markets, including Poland, Russia, Turkey, UEA, India and countries in South East Asia.
The agreement provides Viewster with both rental and digital sell-through rights on some 1,000 Warner Bros. titles, 250 of which will go live in the next few months.
Boasting over 20 million unique users per month, Viewster delivers TV series and movies to end users in over 100 countries in more than nine languages.
It is pre-installed by all leading CE manufacturers, making most of its content available free with video advertising and then upselling to paid transactions.
