Technicolor says its connected home business is beginning to recover following new customer wins.
The division, responsible for Telstra’s T-Hub 2, saw revenues increase by 34.7% in the first half of 2012.
Technology is also on the mend with growth of 20.7% from MPEG LA revenues and good performances across its programmes, in particular in digital TV and set-top boxes.
The downside is that the gains were offset by a decline in the Entertainment Services division.
“Our solid first semester results in a difficult market environment are a good result, especially with regard to the confirmed recovery of the Connected Home business. These results demonstrate that we are on track to achieve the guidance provided earlier this year,” said Frederic Rose, chief executive officer, Technicolor.
Rose added that the financial restructuring taking place in the second half of the year was a good sign for the future.
