Turkish D-Smart set for OTT

July 25, 2012 09.40 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Turkish pay-TV platform D-Smart has opted for KIT digital to develop and launch a multiscreen OTT pay-TV service.

Implemented using KIT digital’s Cosmos video platform, it will support the delivery of live and on demand programmes to audiences in Turkey and around the world across multiple connected devices, including PC/Mac, tablets and smartphones.

KIT will design and configure the software solution at the heart of the OTT service and partner with a local systems integrator to complete the implementation.

D-Smart is part of the Dogan TV Holding group and Turkey’s second largest DTH platform, with a 37.57% market share.

Its 1.8 million subscribers are offered 29HD and 183 SD channels.

KIT digital is meanwhile a video management and software and services company, with nearly 2.500 clients in over 50 countries.
