The Czech national transmission company CRa has officially confirmed the start of DVB-T2 test transmissions on the country’s third multiplex.
Due to last for a year in Prague and environs and six months in Plzen, they will allow more than two million viewers to watch programmes from CT2, CT4, Prima Family and TV Barrandov in HD quality.
Talks are also taking place with Euronews and TV Ocko about adding them to the offer.
CT2 and CT4 HD transmissions have now started on the third multiplex, which covers 95.7% of the population.
