The leading Ukrainian cable operator Volia says it now has over 500,000 subscribers to its internet services.
Furthermore, it has noted significant recent growth in the take-up of double play, with the total number of homes opting for both cable TV and internet soon set to reach 400,000.
Volia has allocated around UAH300 million (€29.2 million) towards upgrading its infrastructure in the period 2011-13 and this is already bearing tangible results.
Indeed, the company is already providing digital TV and HD services in 15 and 12 cities respectively, while in some places subscribers are being offered internet access at up to 150 Mbps.
