Audiovisual services within Spain saw their revenues decrease by 8.1% over the last year as the Euro crisis continues to bite.
Lower advertising revenues impacted the turnover of free TV, which fell 16.7% in the year.
However, the pay-TV sectpr increased its turnover by 2.3%, despite dropping 0.8% of its subscriber base.
There were across the board subscriber losses with the exception of satellite, where Canal+ (Sogecable) ended the first quarter with 1,771,236 subscribers, down on the year but an improvement on the 1,756,185 of the last quarter of 2011.
ONO recorded 915,702 subscribers and Telefonica 809,446.
As a sector satellite had 1,771,236 subscribers, cable 1,329,432, IPTV 891,217 and DTT 366,383.
