IBC 2012 – Amsterdam. GlobeCast is placing the emphasis on content delivery with a mission to help broadcasters “take content further”.
The France Telecom company will be exhibiting alongside sister company NETIA.
Three areas will come into focus with GlobeCast offering its playout and origination services on a tailored basis to broadcasters across the world. NETIA and GlobeCast will also be showing Media Asset Management (MAM) software and services to help broadcasters and content creators manage and optimize their workflows.
GlobeCast’s OTT offer includes a busines-to-business solution as well as the recently launched commercial business-to-consumer product MyGlobeTV.
GlobeCast will be presenting its collaborative project with France 24 on hybrid broadcast broadband TV (HbbTV). HbbTV gives DTH viewers the same two-way interactive experience that IPTV subscribers already enjoy.
GlobeCast has satellite capacity available on five continents and has 92,000km of fibre at its disposal. At IBC this will be reflected on an HD video wall that gives further detail on the content delivery mechanisms,
