Dutch FTTH television platform Glashart Media is launching live TV on Android tablets following the introduction of the iPad version some time ago.
Subscribers to the Glashart service can watch live streaming around their home using Wi-Fi. The live offer comprises ten channels, both national and international, and consists of Nederland 1, Nederland 2, Nederland 3, HumorTV 24, NOS Journaal 24, CNN, TV5, SlamTV, BBC World News and Jim Jam.
Customers need to download the app from the Google Play store and can use the feature till the end of the year. From next year, a monthly subscription fee of €3.95 is due, but the three national public nets (Nederland 1, 2 and 3) remain available free of charge.
The Glashart Media app for both iPad and Android was developed by Hilversum based Stoneroos Interactive TV.
Glashart Media delivers TV services to a large number of FTTH providers including XMS, Lijbrandt, Edutel, OnsBrabantNet, OnsNetNuenen, ON, KickXL, Solcon, Concepts-ICT, Lijbrandt Telecom, Tweak, Helden van Nu and Fiebe.
