Mauritania TV is a new bouquet of channels uplinked from the capital Nouakchott to Arabsat for reaching the Middle East , North Africa and large parts of Europe and Asia.
UPC Austria is adding the female-skewed Sixx Austria channel from the ProSiebenSat.1 group to tis line-up of digital TV. The channel takes the place of Austria 9, that will cease broadcasting.
In the Netherlands, the country’s largest cable operator Ziggo is adding Comedy Central HD and Eurosport 2 HD to its high def line-up.
Euronews is launching on two Caribbean islands. On Haiti on the new Nu TV digital platform and on Saint Martin on the St. Maarten Cable TV net, initially on the Dutch part of the island, then on the French side in the coming months.. Launching in July 2012, Nu TV will offer viewers in Haiti over 100 digital channels.
The Italian DTH platform TivuSat will add MTV Italia and Sky Italia’s terrestrial channel, Cielo. Meanwhile, TivuSat has now passed the 1.5 million connected homes mark.
