Motive Television has signed an agreement with the CME subsidiary CET 21 to provide its Television Anytime Anywhere technology platform to CME’s forthcoming on demand DTT services in the Czech Republic.
Under the terms of the five-year-deal, Motive will have overall responsibility for delivery and management of the project by providing its patented Television Anytime Anywhere technology and certain engineering and operational services to CET 21, and acting as systems integrator.
The project will begin this month and is planned to be ready for commercial launch by early 2013.
Significantly, Motive says that its technology may also be used in rolling out Voyo DTT services in CME’s five other Central and East European markets.
The online on demand service Voyo was launched by CME in the Czech Republic at the beginning of last year and subsequently rolled out to its other markets.
It had 55,000 subscribers as of the end of Q1 this year.
