Digital TV in CEE – PRAGUE. Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) will hold a tender for its second DTT multiplex (MUX B) in October and third (MUX C) three months later, according to Jasmin Musovic, director of radio monitoring, IT support and audience compliance, Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA).
He added that although the licence for the first multiplex MUX A has already been awarded to the public broadcaster and a target ASO date at the end of 2014 set, the whole digitisation process in the country had been held back by the political situation, preventing the construction of a DTT infrastructure.
B&H nevertheless has the necessary (European) legislation in place and is currently debating DVB-T2.
Musovic also said there are 45 TV stations, five of which are national, operating in B&H.
Alongside them are three mobile companies, 45 ISPs and 48 cable operators.
