Digital TV in CEE – PRAGUE. Chello Central Europe is hoping to secure more sports rights shortly, according to Levente Málnay, the company’s CEO.
Speaking exclusively to Broadband TV News, he added that it also plans to make its kids channel Megamax, which currently reaches 1.2 million households in Hungary, available across the region.
Málnay also said that Chello Central Europe is close to completing a big portfolio review and enhancement, the company having originally come into existence as a result of five acquisitions.
As previously reported in Broadband TV News, Chello Central Europe will be re-branding its two movie channels Filmmuzeum and Zone Romantica to Film Mania and Film Café at the beginning of July.
According to Málnay, it will be undertaking another re-branding in its portfolio in September or October.
It is also developing new SVOD services, not just for Minimax, with a non-kids SVOD service set to launch, probably in the autumn.
