QVC shows android app

June 22, 2012 11.32 Europe/London By Julian Clover

QVC UK has launched a free android app that gives customers on the go access to more than 15,000 products.

The app takes its inspiration from QVC’s existing iPhone app that now takes 5% of sales. Customers can use the ‘Buy Now’ button to place an order using their existing account and PIN.

The QVC live feature allows users to watch the live TV stream.

Commenting on the launch, Gina Deeble, director multichannel planning and commerce, QVC UK, said: “The success of our updated iPhone app, which has now been downloaded over 115,000 times, led to the development of the Android app. We’re confident customers with android phones will love being able to now shop on-the-go.”

The services to support the app were developed in-house in conjunction with QVC USA.
