Poland’s Lux Vertitatis foundation, which operates the religious-focused TV Trwam and Radio Maryja, plans to launch a channel aimed at young people.
Quoted in Wirtualne Media, Father Rydzyk, who is linked to the foundation, said that it would be known as TVM1, with M standing for Maryja, mlodziez (youth) and muzyka (music).
TVM1 will be initially distributed by satellite but aims to eventually secure carriage on a DTT multiplex.
TV Trwam failed to secure the latter last year and subsequently took the matter to court.
Its supporters are currently campaigning to have the decision by the country’s National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) reversed.
